It’s official! I’m a housewife! The Lord is kind and merciful!
It’s Day 2 of my maternity leave – baby still in utero – and I’m keeping up with productivity. I got ready for the day, put a load of laundry in, went to a doctor’s appointment, and got to the library to send out a few emails. So far so great 🙂 Now I’m headed towards home so I can put my feet up for a bit, grab some lunch (and maybe a nap), then prep myself for afternoon errands.
This is such a blessing! Since I was at least 17 years old, I have wanted to be a stay at home mom and serve my husband and family in this way by fully immersing myself in my vocation. I didn’t realize until yesterday and today that, though work wasn’t an obstacle to our marriage, my being at home allows me to focus on Andrew so much more.
