This saint knows how it goes. It’s way too easy to hone in on a person’s get-under-your-skin qualities, but step back and realize God sent that person to YOU for the benefit of your soul, his/her soul, and God’s further glorification and you’ll have peace; and who knows? maybe a little bit of sweetness and charity once you realize that person is just as beloved to God and others as you are.
I’ll be the first to admit that it’s tough for me to make the jump from letting myself be irritated to committing myself to love; but to see a person as God does is to behold them in the most honest light possible, revealing the beauty of their soul.
